Easter Rice Krispies Treat Pops
Put a twist on the classic Rice Krispy Treats by making them into “cake pops” with this delicious homemade recipe for Easter Rice Krispies Treats Pops. This is super easy to make – all you do is prepare the treats like you normally would, but then dip in melted candy and decorate. If you like this recipe, be sure to PIN IT!
Rice Krispies Treats Ingredients:
1) 3 tablespoons butter
2) 1 package (10 oz) regular marshmallows (or substitute for marshmallow cream)
3) 6 cups Rice Crispy cereal (look for money-saving coupons here)
Rice Krispies Treat Directions:
Spray a 9×13 pan with cooking spray and set aside. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and cook until they are completely melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the cereal. Press the mixture into the prepared pan using a piece of parchment paper to help get them even in the pan. Cool completely, then cut into 12 bars.
How to make the POPS!
1) 1 bag Wilton candy melts in your desired color
2) Lollipop or popsicle sticks
3) Easter Sprinkles
How to Decorate:
Spread a piece of parchment paper out on a baking sheet. Gently insert the sticks into the center of each rice crispy treat bar. Working in batches, melt the chocolate according to the instructions on the package. Dip the bar partially into the chocolate, then gently tap off the excess chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles and place on the prepared baking sheet to cool and set up. Allow to cool for 1 hour in the refrigerator before moving. Serve at room temperature.
